HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT YOUR OLDER VERSION WILL NOT WANT TO MISS OUT IN LIFE? IMAGINE YOUR CURRENT VERSION MEETING YOUR OLDER SELF WHO IS WISER FOR HAVING MORE EXPERIENCE, READY TO ASK YOU SOME QUESTIONS. THESE QUESTIONS ARE NOT MEANT TO BURDEN YOU WITH GUILT OR REMORSE, BUT RATHER AS A WAKE UP CALL TO A LIFE THAT ALIGNS WITH YOUR DEEPEST VALUES AND ASPIRATIONS.

We can always «observe our life» along the way and wait until one day we face «our final moments» to see whether we lived a happy and fulfilling life or not. But why not saving all that time, reflect on your current experience and ask some questions that our older self would like to know. You will not probably have the right answers now, however, it is a good exercise to see whether you are doing your best to make your older version happy.
These questions serve better to younger generations, examine them early and often. Let the answers be the lighthouse of your decisions and priorities, illuminating your path. The whole point here is to become aware of the importance of living authentically, so that whenever the time comes you are happy with your decisions.
Here are some that you might consider:
What were the most important things to you?
Did you pursue your true desires, dreams and passions?
Have you found your mission in life?
Did you get lost going after your big dreams?
What were the things you were most proud of?
Did you cultivate meaningful connections and relationships with the people you cared the most?
Did you appreciate your family, friends, coworkers and the people around?
Did you express your creativity or talents?
What were the things you were more grateful for?
Were you grateful to life in general?
What were the things you did not want to miss out?
Did you have an intentional living?
Did you take the time to enjoy life´s simple things?
Did you see the beauty in everyday «normal» things?
Did you spend time in self-discovery, doing introspection and meditating on your life performance?
What were your regrets?
What were those things that you regret not doing?
What were the things you regret doing?
Did you focus more on your strengths or your weaknesses?
Do you regret not paying attention to your mental, emotional, physical or spiritual health?
Do you regret not confronting fear regularly?
Were you scared of your fears and hesitations?
How did you confront difficult times, by learning and growing or letting fear to block your full potential?
Did you allow society dictate the course of your life?
Did you have an area of your life affecting other aspects of your life?
Were you normally curious, learning and expanding or you were complacent to limit your life?
Do you have anything that you would make differently?
What were the things you wish you had spent more time on?
What were the things you wish you had spent less time on?
What were the things you would like to do before dying?
Looking back, are you content with the choices you have made or have some regrets?
What legacy did you want to leave?
Did you ever considere leaving a legacy to future generations that extends your own existence?
Did you contribute to the well-being of others or the world around you?
What are the things you would like to be remembered for?
Remember, life is short and is a precious gift, a journey filled with endless possibilities. Seize every moment, embrace every challenge, and never lose sight of your dreams. For it is in the pursuit of our authentic selves that we find true fulfillment and leave a mark for future generations.
May you take the time to reflect on such questions and live accordingly.
Youtomic.
